Our olive grove has 27,000 olive trees on the paddock always known in the family as ‘The Hill Paddock’.
We harvest very early in the season to maximise quality & maintain high polyphenol levels. Polyphenols are the anti-oxidants (good guys) in extra virgin olive oil. The higher the polyphenol levels, the greater the health benefits of the oil & the longer the shelf-life.
All Lisadurne Hill olive oil is always cold pressed ie processed below 28C. We could process at a higher temperature to increase yields, but that would result in a poorer quality oil.
Nurturing the Lisadurne Hill olive grove is our passion and our goal of producing world class olive products is at the fore of everything we do.
Awards
Each year we enter our EVOO labels into Show competitions, primarily the Australian International Olive Competition, together with other state competitions. This is the best way for us to monitor how our olive oils stack up.
